EDP’s Digital Global Unit invited Singularity Digital Enterprise to present the EDP Group’s Management with a unique reporting solution that would make it possible to monitor all business performance in a rich, intuitive and uniform manner.

Management reports are essential for informed and timely decision making. However, the time spent on standardizing KPIs and creating reports becomes a source of expensive and ineffective labor consumption. In addition, these reports read different data sources and are static over time. It becomes a frustrating race against time that consumes considerable resources.

Such a solution would require standardized operational indicators, with updated data, using a multiplicity of internal data sources. The dashboard for analyzing EDP Group’s main operational indicators would have to allow:

  • Automated KPI collection
  • Improved KPI reporting frequency
  • High efficiency in the analysis process
  • Decision making support

After the usual requirements gathering to develop the solution, it became clear that over 400 different KPIs (from all the participating companies in EDP Group) would have to be aggregated, from 12 category dimensions and 12 different data sources.

The Risk Management Department at Galp invited Singularity Part of Devoteam to present a single reporting solution that monitors and manages the company’s global corporate risk in an intuitive, rich, and uniform way.

To deliver a solution that would address all the pain-points, needs and features requested by Galp, Singularity faced two main challenges:

    • The aggregation of 239 indicators from 5 different data sources
    • The validation and refining of the calculation criteria for the Risk Key Indicators and building a rich visual representation for each one

Singularity’s team proposed the implementation of a Power Management Cockpit (PMC) for Risk Management, a tailor-fitted proprietary solution.

In its relentless search for innovation to simplify processes, ActivoBank decided to adopt a solution for compiling analytical and management information, with the primary objective of making the analysis and decision-making process more efficient for different levels of the bank’s structure. For this, they challenged Singularity Digital Enterprise.

As such, the following objectives/needs were also identified:

  • Aggregate the Bank’s leading indicators, that were spread across multiple reports, onto a single platform.
  • Substantiate information sets and indicators relevant to the commercial and servicing component.
  • Create a middleware with daily granularity, operation, and history to ensure an aggregation with detailed channels.
  • Tell a good data story to provide more interactive and dynamic data exploration than the current one.

With the implementation of the Power Management Cockpit®, an information reference architecture was defined; regular data collection processes were organized and, above all, ActivoBank gained the ability to grow and incorporate the new information that continuously flows in.

Currently, the Bank has a set of almost 400 indicators that show, at any given moment, the necessary information to have an adequate overview and keep up with the business. In just four months, Singularity’s team completed the development and implementation of ActivoBank’s Power Management Cockpit® (PMC) solution.

Since the invention of the first parts washer, “a sink mounted on a drum” Safetykleen has consistently innovated to offer safer and more environmentally friendly systems. Within this spirit of innovation is the constant search for the best business solutions, to provide better commercial efficiency and a positive impact on sales.

With the Power Management Cockpit® for Sales, an information reference architecture was established, and regular data-collection processes were implemented. This significantly reduced the time needed for dynamic KPI searches, exploring information on the platform, and quick access to historical data.

New insights, such as a quick and detailed comparison between metrics and analysis periods, new comparison options, seller rankings by category, sale forecasts, and better data availability frequency, became available.

Safetykleen’s management team finally started working with an integrated view of different datasets. The ability to export data and automated calculations resulted in greater efficiency in sales and work carried out by the company’s commercial department.
